How is the organizational hierarchy segmented?

It is segmented as Agent / Company / Department.

The highest in the hierarchy is “Agent”, under which multiple “Companies” can be created. Under a “Company”, you can create “Departments” in layers. Apart from this hierarchy, you can create “Groups” (e.g., Newly Hired Employees’ Training Group) across different departments within a company.
